First amateur license issued 1978, always messing about with ex army radio kit ( 38 and 19 sets to name but a few.

Built my first Heathkit DX 40 Transmitter many moons ago, and I am still using a soldering iron.

Enjoy using the FT8 mode these days, have various FT-Yaesu and Kenwood kit in the radio shack.
